HUMANS
TELL ME HOW YOU CHEER EACH OTHER UP WHEN YOU'RE BEING PATHETIC AND SAD
I HAVE TRIED TO FEED MINE FOOD AND OFFER TO FIGHT HIM MULTIPLE TIMES BUT NEITHER OF THESE TACTICS HAVE WORKED
HIS SAD FEELINGS ARE ANNOYING AND MUST BE PUT TO AN END HOW DO I MAKE THEM STOP?

Have you tried listening to them...?
Maybe try and find out what's making them sad to begin with
Allow them to sort through their feelings
which can be overwhelming sometimes
Give them time
And space if needed
no subject
why can't he just cheer someone up by feeding him and taking him out for walks? what is all this bullshit about asking him how he feels and listening to his problems? )
is there no other method?

Actually ik exactly where to start. Saying "my human" like that is such a douchey thing to do. You don't own him. Furthermore, shoving food at him and ??? fighting him??? is not going to help at all. Let him be sad bc being here is tough for a lot of ppl. Experiencing a feeling is not going to kill you lol
And just in case the person Grimmjow's publicly gossiping about reads this: it's not pathetic to be sad. Be sad for as long as you have to. Don't listen to anybody telling you differently.

if you only have useless shit to say then you shouldn't have bothered at all

I can see that you have received a wide variety of replies with a wide variety of helpfulness, or lack thereof. I'd like to firstly explain that the emotions of humans are deeper than even the darkest oceans. What cheers one person up may only irritate another, for example. Truly, this is something I have pondered on for quite some time, myself...
Lacking the information of what this human friend (I assume?) of yours is like, I do have a few general pieces of advice.
One, attempt to locate the cause of the sadness. Is it an outside source, such as an incident, or words? Or is it within them, something that you can't possibly fully understand?
Proceed to step two either way. Offer your support as such: Ask if they would prefer to talk it out, to be distracted from it, or if they don't actually know what they want.
If they would like a distraction, and admit so, then the solution from that point onwards is much easier. If they either want to talk or don't know what they'd like, it becomes trickier, so please reference step one.
If the cause was outward, is it something that you can help them address? Ask if they'd like your opinion on the matter. If the cause is inward, ask if they'd like to explain it further to you, and if they'd prefer advice themselves or just companionship.
And lastly, regardless of the steps followed and the answers gathered, I believe that there is something to be treasured in having someone close. Carrying on as you normally do may just be enough to cheer them up naturally. Perhaps your focus on their sadness is only deepening it, as they may view themselves as a burden...
Of course, there are hundreds of other possibilities, and I don't have the information to properly convey a precise piece of advice. Nonetheless, I hope this is of some help.
Sincerely,
Sole of the Deep
( I'm so sorry for the tl;dr she's just like this. )
