I have a question for the group. Has anyone tried to find family or friends they have lost over the years, or a trace that they might have passed through the Netherworld? Have you been successful?

If not, would you? What would you say to them if you managed to find them?

That's a good question.
I would assume that talking to some of the restless that have been here for an extended period of time would work, but I was wrong

I hope so too. I would hate to think about a loved one going through any of what happens here in the Netherworld

Do you think he had any unfinished business? That might have kept him from crossing over fully.
It's my experience that that would tie them to the world of the living, but this place doesn't fit the norm that I'm used to

I was hoping my case was a fluke, that maybe they only briefly passed through. It's possible that no one remembered them

Is it possible that they would have ascended without showing up in the Netherworld? Does that sound feasible for the person you're thinking of?

Have you been actively looking? What methods have you tried?

There's only one person I would look for, and I don't want to look for them. If this is purgatory or even hell, then their existence here confirms the worst for me.

But if I did find them here?

I would want to know why they left me. Why no one would tell me the truth. Why a child had to be hurt over secrets.

I can understand that. A part of me doesn't want to find them, but there are so many things that I want to say. So many things to apologize for.
And I suppose that finding them would be confirmation that they're really gone

I'm sure you've heard this a million times, but I understand how that feels. Hurt doesn't even begin to describe it. Betrayal maybe?
No one should leave their child in the dark like that. It doesn't matter what that truth might be

Maybe you're right. But I have been searching for this person even before coming to the Netherworld, and while I would hate to think of them coming through here, I have to look for any leads

Not knowing why they were killed and by who, not being there when it happened, these things still haunt me.
The answers won't change the outcome, but I need to know.
And I want to at least apologize to them for not being there to protect them

Unless this is a transitional space. Something that exists between the realm of the living and the afterlife
It might explain why some of us are positive that we are still alive. Maybe those who accepted that they weren't have moved on? It's hard to say

i'm fairly newly deceased myself so i'm probably not in a position to talk, but i think i'd be happier if they went to a more peaceful afterlife than this
it's been long enough that i don't know if i'd have the words - which people would say is quite rare for me hahaha

Of all of the afterlifes I know of, this is one of the last places I would want anyone to be sent to

I can understand that. I wonder if I might feel the same way if I were to find the people I know and love in this place
Beyond apologizing, I'm not sure what I would say
