@anonymous

I have a question for the group. Has anyone tried to find family or friends they have lost over the years, or a trace that they might have passed through the Netherworld? Have you been successful?

If not, would you? What would you say to them if you managed to find them?

[ oh you know, just some weirdo ]

Naturally! There are many realms of the dead. The one I speak of belongs to Egypt and its people.

I thought if I could find my brother, I'd be able to cheat him into letting us go.

[ gods with ties to the underworld in some capacity, at that??? ]

That's him. Former king of Egypt, carved up and thrown in the Nile - that guy.

I'm surprised he hasn't come knocking; all waters connect, in the end. Why not Stygia's to Duat, or Styx, or Irkalla!

I have traveled beyond the borders defended by the Ennead, and found many underworlds have seas and rivers. More than that, many of our divine origins trace back to primordial waters -- cosmogenic chaos. We are born of waters and return to it. From Apsu, Nu, Khaos, Danu. To Irkalla, Duat, Styx, Patala.

If we can trace our origins to the cosmic sea, then the waters of the underworld must be that same sea.

[ he is,,

an infinitely curious god ]

At least, that's what I've wondered.

So, I wonder. Could we not sail the seas and rivers here, and find where the waters unite?
