I have a question for the group. Has anyone tried to find family or friends they have lost over the years, or a trace that they might have passed through the Netherworld? Have you been successful?
If not, would you? What would you say to them if you managed to find them?

Who was your mentor?

You may have heard of my mentor, then. His name was Achilles.
Not just him, but was expecting Thanatos to come meet me, or Hypnos to at least explain how I died this time. I haven't found them here, though, which is somehow a relief.

I'm familiar with the stories of the underworld, and of Achilles as well. But I have never met them myself
If gods and heroes exist, they keep that fact hidden from man. I'm sure they have their reasons
I take it that you are in regular contact with those two?

Mortals will die if they gaze upon gods. There's a reason why they avoid being seen.
Hypnos, lately, more than Thanatos. He's always very busy. Hypnos is the one to sign in and usher those who arrive at the House of Hades, though, so I had been seeing him a lot. Enjoyed talking to him when I did. Was a bit disappointed when he wasn't around.

We have similar stories where I'm from, but I didn't realize that that was true elsewhere as well.
I suppose that it makes sense that the god of sleep would have his hands full. I imagine he would be fun to talk to
Thanatos as well, although I would not be surprised if he is a bit of a grunt
[ She clearly doesn't seem to notice that some of her personality is slipping into her texts. Hm. ]

Than? No, he's
[excuse him while he types and retypes and retypes and retypes again
and cough a dark purple rose out of his lungs.
sigh.]
one of the most pleasant people to be around. He is not very talkative, sure, but there's a reason why he's so good at his job, to be with people when they leave one plane to another.

I'm sure it isn't easy being on that side of the coin. I can't help but respect someone who deals with the souls of the dead after they have crossed over
Without saying too much, I understand how difficult it is to send those people on their way to him, or to wherever their souls end up going
It makes me wonder if would I have made his job easier or harder

He's in love with his childhood friend who he once thought was his brother pls help.]
I believe it is one of the hardest tasks in all of Hades. Than doesn't like being in the spotlight, so I'm sure he makes the journey easier for everyone by not getting into people's faces.
…or souls, really.
But if I were to die and go somewhere else, I would have expected him to show up at least once.

I would imagine part of it may be not wanting to think about it. Although given who he is, I'm not sure.
You believe that you're still alive then? Since he was not here to greet you when you arrived?
