@morpheus
How are you thinking of this place?
Do you think you're a prisoner of some sort of powerful magic or do you think you're dead? Or is it something else?
If it's death, were you close to dying when you then woke up here? Because I know I wasn't. I cannot die so if this is death, I have some questions.

@dewdrop
As far as I remember, I was not close to dying before I came here.
And my co-worker arrived at the same time as I did, and he also doesn't remember being so.
It would make sense if we died at the same time, but the fact that neither of us remember how it happened is what concerns me.

So, if that's what's happened, I'm concerned as well. And it would have severe ramifications where I come from.
Do you and your coworker remember the same things?

i might have been killed. i don't remember it happening, but it seems within reason for me. in any case, it feels underwhelming.

Which is infuriating. But again, nothing I can do.
Were you being hunted or just in a position where a lot of people wanted to kill you?

[ People who should be alive being here, for example. But you know, he is dead, he knows it. Or if he isn't, he'll be mightily surprised, considering his last moments... ]
Perhaps this is yet another mystery for us to unravel.

@harukaze
Sure, the existence of the supernatural is both damnable evidence and totally annoying, but this place reflects too much of the living world to be a realm of judgement, rest, or punishment. For example, we still have to prove our moral worth when our prior lives should have provided open and shut cases. We're still living with physical bodies that get injured and catch diseases, we still have to earn money, we're still under the mercy of an authoritarian class. It's the same shit in a different pile, only with dumber hurdles.
Also they keep ripping off different parts of myth and literature. Someone is just slapping a bunch of mystical entities together ad hoc.
My bet is that it's a simulation, or if we're believing in truly stupid possibilities, an alternate universe.

So, we're prisoners being subjected to something technological?
