ik this is going to sound like an episode of 60 Minutes that never got aired, but I have smelled worryingly like blood for the past week or so.

No, it's not my time of the month. No, I'm not actually a murderer. I woke up one day, sniffed foul air, and have been increasingly ill since.

I work at the theatre in Mirth now and I'll get a 2% raise if I bring in more traffic, so I kinda have a vested interest in knowing what kinds of things you'd wanna see screened. it can be heavy don't get me wrong. but at the end of the day, so long as I can help someone cope with the unthinkable then I'm satisfiedbut what did you think I was gonna be, a receptionist? nope! no way!! that's WAY too boring for me!!

I've heard it can be. I've only been in this business for a short amount of time so I can't say for sure
but some of the stories you hear are absolutely heartbreaking. THOSE are the times that are really tough

not the gruesome or tragic deaths, but the understated ones where they know they need to go
where all you can do is reassure them that their loved ones will be taken care of

I'm glad it's rewarding in that sense. I think those kinds of jobs take a huge amount of empathy but also a huge amount of desensitization. Like nurses and doctors, ppl who see death a lot. I couldn't do it.
