why are you assuming everyone has the power to fix something like that?
some people have it rough enough just trying to survive
never mind "doing their part"
whatever that means...

It means not giving up. I'm not saying things are easy, they sure as hell aren't for me back where I'm from. But if we want stuff to change we all have to do what we can.

but what if someone has spent their whole life trying to change stuff
and every day is one nightmare after the next
the kind of terrible we can't even imagine easily
would you hold it against them if they really wanted to stay here instead of return to that world?
