I am looking for some help in heating up a room-- heating a flat preferably, but even one room would be enough. A small device might not be enough for me, because... well. [for a few seconds, the video feed is on, showing a pale hand around something tube-shaped and covered in lustrous black scales, very long, the ends disappearing off-camera.

I am quite sensitive to the cold and will become sluggish, perhaps not as much as actual serpent-beasts, but still. I can't very well brumate until the weather warms up again, now can I?

Back home, there were places with floor heating, but... I'm not sure about anywhere here. It looks like fire is the most likely heat source.

If I were to do that, I can deal with wood myself.
But I'm unsure of moving right now.

Got a landlord who you can check in with? Barring that, how big's the risk to try and sneak around and get a better lay of your place?

If all else fails, you have an option to gather some sand from the shores and make an insulating bed for your tail. Not sure if you'd want to completely bury yourself in hot sand, but it's your prerogative.

or how people are able to bring back "fragments"
but I'm pretty sure that'd fix your heat problem if you were able to grab one

I came from a place with heating and electricity, so I know of such things. But I've never been an electrician.

What landlord? I've just taken over this small spot in a building no one wants.

I've considered such a thing, but I completed the mission instead. Money was more important than that, at the time.

If you'd like, I can come over and do a check to see if the guts in your flat have workable heating pipes. So long as they do, it's not outside the realm of possibility to get things warmed up again, provided you can keep things fueled.

You're willing to come over yourself? That would be much appreciated. But if you find the pipes are broken beyond repair, or the building has no central heating, do not worry about it.

Wouldn't have offered if I wasn't willing to make the trip. Besides, this will end up being a boon for me in the long run. I have a personal project that involves some house maintenance, so if I can get an idea for the architecture of living spaces in the Netherworld, all the better.

And if the system isn't salvageable, I'm sure there will be alternative methods to keep you from freezing. People will always find a way to endure.

The sprites protecting it do. I haven't the faintest how, however, just that they won't let you come close if you have your personal struggles, and I have them aplenty.
