Winter is upon us, and if it is as I fear, it shall not be kind. Forgive my absence, I am taken quite ill and there was far too much to do to speak too long.

For those that brought me what they could, I have preserved it and stored it. It is ready for you to collect when you are able.

For all else, since it seems I have been ordered to stay a-bed for the most part until my strength returns, perhaps someone might play a game with me? It is very simple, you must come with a rhyme to match mine, then we continue until one of us cannot think of a line, I shall begin:

Though, I do have a favour of you to ask, perhaps a little especially. The gathering we have been invited too, would it be too much to spare some red flowers that I may wear for the event?

But of course! I have a dozen or so red roses left along with several red carnations that would look just lovely on you.

Business is a little stale lately, so hopefully having such a lovely woman wearing my flowers will incite others to visit my shop.

They're called "cypress stars" in my world, and they're a bright red flower with five triangular petals shaped almost like a star.

They're poisonous to us vampires but not overtly so. I just use my gloves whenever working with these poises.
