( ping ping ping. or, y'know, whatever your phone chime is. the face of a man who looks like he's never smiled once in his entire life appears on your screen. you may have seen him before, while you were busy surviving a storm or battling reapers. no matter. you might as well bask in his impromptu company now, because his appearances are few, and his indulgences even fewer. )

Allow me to make this clear. For those of you who wonder still: I am the Hierarchy. You do not come to us; we summon, invite, and hire. Order is of the utmost importance if you wish to survive, and time is of the essence. Do not waste mine.

Your personal troubles are your own. If you expected us to hold your hand, do think again; there are far greater affairs to attend to, so do yourselves a favor, and look for soulmates. It could be his handle, maybe? Or stage name. I'd hate to think that's his real name.. No offense.

[ The 'no offense' is more directed towards the hypothetical situation of: what if he comes back and reads or listens to all this gossip and forms opinions on all of them. ]

It's all about the branding that makes it good or bad. One word names are iconic! Right now though, it's kinda..

[ He doesn't see it, but Lottie looks around suspiciously, waves her hand a little to emphasize the so-so quality of it. Even lets her words trail off to a noise that sounds especially unsure, before picking back up: ]

I wouldn't follow him or anything, is all I'm saying.

Well, yeah, what do we think when we think of hierarchy? It's like a list. He's naming himself after a list. That's boring.

Or, he's naming himself that to say he is the hierarchy. The top of the top. Like he's above the actual pyramid!

But then... who's the rest of them? Is there a pecking order? Do they have different jobs? Is there one of them we can file a complaint to?

[ A pause. ]

Can we really file complaints when we're dead? Are we allowed to do that??

Sure? Y-yeah, we're dead, but there's a whole city of the dead, so it's got to have like. An office of Restless... Hierarchy... relations? Or something?

[ Hmmmm.. This is actually not a bad idea. And it makes sense?! Lottie nods her head in agreement, even if he can't really see it. ]

If you do find that office, let me know! Gimme their number or an address.. Maybe more complaints means we can do something other than play with this app.
