This particular instance doesn't seem to be related, but we don't know what else the Hierarchy might subject us to.

That said, they're making themselves less than trustworthy, aren't they - telling us to obtain soulmates for our benefit here, and then turning around and subjecting several of us to imprisonment and tortures. Were you one of the imprisoned?

[ she may not know much of this phone, but she does know that the hierarchy talked to them on it. she won't assume they couldn't do the same again. she'd carved that brand out of her skin to ensure she couldn't get put back in the cell. she won't admit to having been in it in the first place. ]

Perhaps that's me being flippant about it, but I highly doubt they have that sort of technology.
