( ping ping ping. or, y'know, whatever your phone chime is. the face of a man who looks like he's never smiled once in his entire life appears on your screen. you may have seen him before, while you were busy surviving a storm or battling reapers. no matter. you might as well bask in his impromptu company now, because his appearances are few, and his indulgences even fewer. )

Allow me to make this clear. For those of you who wonder still: I am the Hierarchy. You do not come to us; we summon, invite, and hire. Order is of the utmost importance if you wish to survive, and time is of the essence. Do not waste mine.

( behind him, movement. if you squint, you may notice strands of greying hair near the door, though the person it belongs to remains off-screen. )

Your personal troubles are your own. If you expected us to hold your hand, do think again; there are far greater affairs to attend to, so do yourselves a favor, and look for soulmates. The... sort? Mmm, it's difficult to limit it... I would say I am able to knit wounds together most effectively. Surface scrapes, punctures, that sort of thing. Illnesses as well, though I rely on herbology for that. I can't say I'm the best at surgical work. I don't think I'm the person to go to should someone's arm get severed.

（ hm. sounds like medical ninjutsu — but she knows better than to assume that's truly what it is. the only chakra she can feel strongly in this world is that which belongs to sasuke, naruto and shikamaru. something else, then. it isn't surprising there would be commonalities across worlds. ）

That must be very helpful. Was it your profession in your world...?

And, ah, to answer your question — I know there are herbalists in Serene that work alongside the physicians in Hale, if you haven't been to see them yet? I'd welcome anything you could make, especially anticoagulants at the moment.

( hm. answering his profession, his past job or his current one, is not ideal. he's not ashamed of the former, but people do tend to have a negative reaction... )

I tended to the king as his personal healer. Knowing poisons and how to counteract them are very useful in that line of work. ( he smiles, wry. ) And the healing helps when the king is a reckless fool who keeps getting wounded out of hubris.

I have not met any of them quite yet, though I admit that shelter has been my primary focus. ( he hums, tapping his cheek with a finger. ) I could supply you with as much of a medic's kit as I can, then. Anticoagulants first.

Wow, you must be pretty skilled for that!

I don't think it's wrong to prioritize looking for shelter. We'll be in for a rough time without it. But anything you could spare, I'd be grateful for.

( his face actually heats up at the praise, and he ends up laughing a bit, almost bashful. )

I will do what I can. If you've any experience with herbs and come across any seedlings or the like that might help - do let me know. I should be able to help them speed along and flower.

Oh - my green magic allows me to manipulate the growth of plants. I am not a fan of doing that, but this is not an average situation. Once they've flowered, seeds can be procured, and more can be planted - and so the cycle goes.

Does it take a lot of energy...?

（ it's the only reason she can think of why someone wouldn't be a fan. plants!! how cool!! she'd love to be able to do that!! ）

Energy...? Ahh, no.

( he softens, smile gentler - fonder. ) Plants can be fragile, especially when young. If they are forced to grow immediately, they won't grow as strong. Have you ever had a spurt of growth yourself? Grown an extra inch here or there, in too short a time frame? It hurts. It even leaves marks at times. It's best to let them grow naturally, so they grow strong.

（ what a metaphor that is. she's surprised at how deftly he reflects the situation in konoha with the children orphaned by the war, the ones she built the clinic for, the ones she's been trying to protect. she's silent a moment, and then she closes her eyes. there's a lump in her throat, because it's the first time she's really allowed herself to think about all the kids who need her, who she won't be able to return to...

ino will take good care of them. she'll carry on that dream. but it still winds her, and if she wasn't already sitting she'd have gone to her knees. ）

I think the plants would probably appreciate your consideration. And I wouldn't worry — there's a great many apothecaries and the like in Serene.

( he quiets in turn, allowing her a moment of thought. whether that was an affected or unaffected one, he can't tell - being unable to read her face, he can't read her well, and her voice doesn't reflect any emotion. it doesn't take him but a moment to realize a double meaning behind his own words, and he smiles wryly - sadly. )

It's for us, too. My consideration.

I'll have to do it regardless. There are times we can't avoid such a thing, but - we should always uphold an ideal where we can, I think.
