npc || amun [ @ hierarchy ]
Allow me to make this clear. For those of you who wonder still: I am the Hierarchy. You do not come to us; we summon, invite, and hire. Order is of the utmost importance if you wish to survive, and time is of the essence. Do not waste mine.
( behind him, movement. if you squint, you may notice strands of greying hair near the door, though the person it belongs to remains off-screen. )
Your personal troubles are your own. If you expected us to hold your hand, do think again; there are far greater affairs to attend to, so do yourselves a favor, and look for soulmates. We've prepared an application for you, easily accessible from your device's home page. Should you need additional information, perhaps it's time for you to practice self-reliance.
I will not be answering questions.
( and the feed cuts, abruptly, without greetings or a name. )
► Amun will not be responding, though you're absolutely welcome to react, comment and discuss amongst yourselves on this post! Other NPCs might show up!
► This is, more or less, Tinder for Soulmates o/ You'll find the permanent post (aka phone application) right HERE! If you're interested, simply fill out the form and comment on the post, and bam. Browse, swipe left or swipe right, and have fun! This is not mandatory.
► Forms and replies should be posted ICly (yes, even if it's located in the OOC comm -- you may choose one (1) thread for october's AC) .
► Another character may post in your character's stead. Additionally, feel free to have their Shadow influence their blurb!
► The application offers all the information your character needs to know! To recap: All that's required for another Restless to become your Soulmate is for them to enter your home, touch your Tethers upon invitation, and from then on, a piece of their soul will merge with yours, fortifying your Self. As a literal extension of your being, they'll easily gain access to your thoughts if you let them (or if you're careless), they'll experience your pains, fears, and joys on weaker levels, and their voice, touch and overall vicinity can become great soothing weapons against your Shadow. However. If two characters already share a powerful bond and one incidentally touches the other's Tethers, it's an accidental done deal. You may thank Naruto's player for this.
► You may have multiple Soulmates!
► If you have questions regarding the app, redirect them here!

Finally, someone speaks truth.

he approves. ]
I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one here with an overly romantic view of life.
no subject
Overly romantic? [ He says, with a scoff. ] I should say I'm something of the opposite. Call me a pessimist, if you'd like.
no subject
[ that's what he thinks, at least. ]
And maybe a beacon of sanity considering the people that seem to think that soulmates do exist.
no subject
[ Absolutely not. Silco should never be called a beacon of sanity, but he is preening. A pause, considering. ]
At least there are a few of us willing to speak up about this nonsense. Maybe more will follow, once they figure out it's all...nonsense.
no subject
[ since they were still stuck here. ]
Someone takes us from our homes, tells us we're dead and then says find a soulmate.
no subject
[ It's said with a sort of casual acceptance. Silco clearly didn't have trouble with the death part. ]
The lot of us will have to come up with something to do with our time. "Soulmates" or not. Although other than the Reapers, I've not seen much need for such...stern words about survival. The city seems healthy -- for a city of the dead, anyway.
no subject
[ being taken from the waking world and deposited here? it's giving him a very bad feeling about it all. ]
A city of the dead doesn't seem to give off a feeling of...contentment.
no subject
I've seen worse cities. This is practically...thriving. [ Then again, the comparison... ]
Content or not, they certainly don't seem subjugated, do they? Mirth was busting, when I drifted into the harbor. It was...encouraging.
no subject
[ he's seen some particularly terrible places both in the waking world and in the realms of the endless but even his sister's realm didn't appear like this. ]
Controlled. I don't like it.
no subject
[ Silco isn't used to it, either. Zaun was horrible, but it was rife with chaotic life. ]
It is more controlled than I am used to. Then again, perhaps we'll be able to interject a little bit more of a spark to the city. If not by our mere presence, then by deliberate choice, and action.
no subject
What's your name?
no subject
Silco, and what should I call you?
no subject
[ there are plenty of names that he has but that one seems to be the easiest for people to remember.
so, he uses that. ]
Where do you come from?
no subject
It's not like it's a secret. It's also not explicit truth at this time, but he says it anyway, as if in defiance of the fact that it doesn't exist, and he's not sure if it ever will. Not since... well. He died. ]
I'm from a place called the Nation of Zaun. You've likely never heard of it, I'm afraid. Few have.
[ To be fair, it's currently the Undercity of Piltover, not its own place. ]
I should ask the same, shouldn't I? What sort of place do you come from?
no subject
[ even despite his age and how long he's been around, the name silco gives isn't a familiar one. ]
The Dreaming.
[ this isn't something he'd tell just anyone but considering the circumstances and the fact that he's apparently dead, he sees no harm in it. ]
no subject
[ He says, bluntly. The Dreaming sounded like the sort of place that was marked to serve certain tastes. "Make your dreams come true", or something of the like. Silco can't imagine a world with the Endless, or other such greater beings. Then again, he can barely conceive of magic, beyond what Hextech has given them. ]
I haven't heard of it, but I'm sure it's a place you would want to return to, just as I would mine.
[ He knows he cannot. Of all those here, what he's heard, he knows. Some may not have experienced death, but Silco knew he was dead. ]
no subject
[ fantastical, mythical, strange, he's heard it all before when he's chosen to introduce himself to people with his real name.
maybe he'll start going with 'bob' just to see what happens there. ]
Do you believe you've died as they say?
no subject
Well, I can hardly conceive of an experience where I haven't, to have arrived here.
[ The bullets in his stomach were a minor detail. They confirmed that he was dead. ]
I've heard others say they don't believe they're dead, however. There are more questions than we've had answers from day one. It's possible none of us are.
no subject
[ he can be added into the category of those who think they haven't died. ]
But, I doubt I'm going to figure out what's happened and why anytime soon.
no subject
[ Silco still knew he was dead, but perhaps his being dead was not the... only way to arrive here -- if it was a factor at all, beyond chance. ]
I can't say they'll be open with the answer, but... if I hear anything, I'll let you know.
no subject
( but yes, he doubts that the answers will be that easily given or found. )
I'll do the same.
