( ping ping ping. or, y'know, whatever your phone chime is. the face of a man who looks like he's never smiled once in his entire life appears on your screen. you may have seen him before, while you were busy surviving a storm or battling reapers. no matter. you might as well bask in his impromptu company now, because his appearances are few, and his indulgences even fewer. )

Allow me to make this clear. For those of you who wonder still: I am the Hierarchy. You do not come to us; we summon, invite, and hire. Order is of the utmost importance if you wish to survive, and time is of the essence. Do not waste mine.

I'm not going to rule it out. There's every possibility our bodies are just a projection of what our minds expect to have, so...

I know that sometimes when a spirit isn't ready to move on, they can convince themselves that they're still alive, and that's what ties them to the world. I'm not saying it's like that here, but... Mmm. I guess we shouldn't rule it out, even if I really don't want to think about it.

（ sure, that could be the case for some people. but shinobi are trained from a young age to accept that their deaths may be necessary, and are highly likely in the lines of their respective duties. sakura would be able to accept her death, if it happened, and she's pretty sure naruto, sasuke and shikamaru would do likewise.

It's important to keep an open mind at this stage. Hopefully, we'll learn more as time goes on.
