We've all had some time to settle in. Hopefully everyone's holding up all right!

For those of you I haven't spoken with, my name's Sakura. I'm both a doctor and healer and I have a little ad hoc clinic down by the docks. a helpful location ping follows this. If you ever find yourself needing medical care, please reach out and let me know. There's at least one other person here with medical experience that I know of as well, but I'll let them speak up if they want to make themselves known — and I'm happy to collaborate with anyone else, none of us can be everywhere at once.

As for my reason for addressing you all... I'm looking to keep blood on hand for medical emergencies, transfusions and any surgeries that may be necessary. If anyone is willing to come down to the clinic and give a donation, it'd be very appreciated. I promise it only hurts a little! And you'll even get a candy afterwards! While supplies last.

Those with O-negative and O-positive types would be ideal. If you don't happen to know what your blood-type is, I can run a test for you.

Thanks everyone!

she's almost finished, and it seems like that might have been the last thing... but a few minutes later, she clicks the feed on again:

I'm still looking for information on anyone who's undergone the soulbond as well. Purely for research purposes. You can reply anonymously if you'd like, or privately if that's easier. I promise anything you say will be kept confidential.

Me too. It's kind of weird, right? We have phones back home, but we don't usually use them like this.

[ As for Materia, she's more than happy to explain— and where others might be suspicious of a practical stranger asking for more information, Aerith isn't. (Maybe she needs to get better about that.) ]

It's... kind of a long story. But basically, Materia is the crystalized essence of Gaia, the planet I'm from. It lets people channel Gaia's energy into magic. I have some magic I was born with, but even for me, using Materia just makes things a LOT easier!

I would love to meet up, though~ I want to help out as much as I can.

I'm not sure. Maybe I should try asking around... So far I've just been trying to settle in and worry about asking questions later, but it's starting to look like we might be here for a while.

[ She would after all like to be able to help people. ]

Great! I'll stop by as soon as possible, then. I'll come by early so that I don't make your day go longer than expected~

Okay! I'll see you soon~

[ And sure enough, it's after sending that message that Aerith immediately sets off for the clinic; she's a woman of her word (most of the time, anyway) and she really doesn't want to keep Sakura waiting. She stops only to gather some extra flowers from around Serene on the way, gathering them into a makeshift bouquet. Nothing like a bit of greenery to brighten up a place after all, especially something like a clinic.

She arrives at the pinged place before long, knocking on the door before opening it— and announcing her arrival at the same time: ]
Hi, Sakura? It's me, Aerith!

[ Okay, so quite clearly she has no idea how to appropriately enter a place such as this when she's not already in a neighborhood with which she's familiar. She just has to hope that she doesn't offend anyone in any way. ]

[ There's a quick nod to greet Henlin, a warm smile, but when Aerith's eyes meet Sakura's, her own expression turns into something equally as bright and enthusiastic as the other's. While she has no idea what kind of test the discovery of her blood type entails, any lingering doubt she may have had is quickly dispelled by how genuine the other woman seems. ]

It's nice to meet you too.

[ The notice of the flowers is met with an even warmer smile— it's not everyone in this place who can pick out a genus the way she can— and she nods, holding the makeshift bouquet out. ]

I figured people come to clinics when they're sick, and flowers always make me feel better, you know? So maybe they'll help your patients feel better too. Yellow is for friendship, and orange is for bravery— [ Her smile turns a touch apologetic. ] They're not exactly perfect, but they'll do the job.
